The strategic partnership behind CHM Alliance, Swickers and Sunpork Fresh Foods
CHM Alliance is formed from three of Australia’s largest individual
pork producers. The CHM Alliance owns PIC (Pig Improvement Company),
the Australian branch of the USA pig genetic and breeding company.
Swickers Kingaroy Bacon Pty Ltd was founded in Queensland in 1941 and
has a long history inthe Australian pork industry. Today Swickers has a
state-of-the-art production facility supported by internationally
accredited safety and production standards. Recently, Swickers
completed a major upgrade and redevelopment of its Kingaroy processing
facility, allowing it to slaughter up to 20,000 pigs and process 10,000
pigs per week through the boning facility.
Sunpork Fresh Foods, via Swickers, has strong control over meat quality, processing and the consistency of its pork products from farm to plate.
